September brings fall, a change of season with a vivid sense of reflection and gratitude. We remember 9/11 at the beginning of the month to honor those lost and not forgotten, and at the end of the month, look back and appreciate all the astounding literature that we might not have ever read. September 26 – October 1, has been designated the American Library Association’s Banned Books Week, where we take a look at the battle for intellectual freedom. You would probably be stunned at the number of classic literature novels were challenged as appropriate for our society, or even banned from our libraries. You can see for yourself lists of hundreds of books on the ALA website — I bet you’ve already read a few! Be grateful, Broncos, that you live in a country that trusts you to make your own mind.
